Situated within the World Heritage Site Character Area, the Rope Walks and Duke Street Conservation Area of the city centre this site of the former NCP carpark on Duke Street and six town houses, two being Grade II Listed Buildings. SNOW architects submitted a planning application on behalf of our Clients for a mixed use development of a 102 bedroom hotel, retail, 232 space multi storey car park and 11,500 sq.ft. of retail space, which will help in the regeneration of the Ropewalks area.

The proposed scheme has been designed to contribute to the wealth of historic and contemporary architecture along one of the key arterial route into the city and assist in the regeneration of this area of the city centre.

SNOW were appointed as architects to look at the proposals after the success of their previous planning approval for site consisting of a six storey new build residential development of forty nine apartments, eleven more apartments than the previous architects proposals, to Parr Street and the reinstatement of the town houses to Duke Street.
